Melbourne promoter Tarik Solak wants to pit Australian, New Zealand and Turkish fighters against a "rest of the world" line-up on April 24.
Mr Solak, who is an Australian and Turkish dual citizen, said he believed he could attract up to 20,000 fans to watch the card.
He said the event should not be seen as disrespectful to those who fought at Gallipoli.
Mr Solak did not care what anyone thought of the proposal because controversy gave him the chance to explain what he wanted to do. "I can't get bad advertising."

Mr Solak said the event was not a money-making exercise and he was travelling to Turkey this weekend to work on arrangements with local authorities. "Things move quickly in Turkey. I think we'll get a big crowd," he said.
RSL Victorian president David McLachlan said Gallipoli on Anzac Day eve was not the time nor place for such an event.
"It's counter-productive to what we're trying to do. It's a very special time. It would be very tacky," he said.
Mr McLachlan said he believed Australians generally would not support the plan.
"Most Australians would be pretty offended," he said.
