The directing will be conducted by Eriş Akman and the lead roles will belong to Paul Hogan and JJ Feild. Russel Crowe will be a guest star in the movie, which will begin shooting in July.
“The war of Gallipoli has a very important historical context,” Akman said, noting that the most important aspect is that it was known as a gentleman’s war. “While it was the bloodiest war on one hand, on the other hand, there was friendship. There are many stories reflecting that this war had the nature of friendship in it and many stories that reveal an anti-war nature. This has almost become a manifesto. This is an antiwar movie that will tell the story of Turkish and Anzac veterans and their friendships,” Akman said.
